ERL has further enhanced its railway security measures through the installation of solar-powered Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras at nine strategic locations along its railway tracks, reinforcing its commitment to safe, secure and reliable rail operations.
The initiative aims to strengthen surveillance capabilities at identified hotspots, particularly in preventing cable theft, vandalism and other security threats that could potentially disrupt train services. By enhancing monitoring of critical railway infrastructure, ERL seeks to minimise operational disruptions and maintain service reliability for passengers.
The installation forms part of ERL’s ongoing efforts to strengthen railway security through improved monitoring and preventive measures. The use of solar-powered technology also supports the integration of renewable energy solutions into railway operations, reflecting ERL’s commitment to adopting more sustainable practices. This initiative demonstrates the company’s continued efforts to safeguard railway infrastructure, enhance operational resilience and provide passengers with a safe, efficient and dependable travel experience.
