ERL collaborated with Skuad Pemburu Ikan Asing (SPIA) on a CSR initiative titled “Protect Our Precious River” at Denai Sungai Kebangsaan, Sungai Langat.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness and address the ecological threats posed by invasive alien fish species, particularly ikan bandaraya (Hypostomus plecostomus) which threaten Malaysia’s freshwater biodiversity and aquatic ecosystems.
Through this collaboration, ERL reinforced its commitment to environmental conservation, biodiversity protection and community engagement, in line with the Environment and Social pillars of its Safety, Environment, Social and Governance (SESG) framework.
